The feeling of someone looking at you as a child and you look up to behold this giant that’s times two of your size. We all have tall people around us who are above 6 feet like Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, the popular actor with a height of 6feet 9inches but here I have decided to compile a list of all the total tallest people in the world today who are above 7 feet tall. Most of them suffered from Gigantism and different ailments that affected them so much that they lost their lives. Take a seat as we present to you list of tallest men in the world.

Manute will always be remembered for his height tied at the same height with Gheorghe Mureșan, the Sudanese-born American basketball player was born on 16 October 1962 and grew to a height of 7 ft 7 inches before his death on June 19, 2010. He weighed 200 lb (91 kg) and according to him all his family members were all tall, his mother was 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) while his father was 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m).

Having a list without Sun Mingming won’t make a comprehensive list. He was born on 23 August 1983, the Chinese professional basketball player weighs 168kg and a height of 7 ft 9, according to Guinness world records Sun and his wife Xu Yan from China also are the world’s tallest married couple. His height makes him the tallest basketball player ever.

From Shanxi Province, China, Zhang was born on March 31, 1966, and has a whopping height of 2.42 meters (7 ft 11 in).

Known as the tallest man in India stands at 7 feet 10 inches. He’s a laborer by profession and hails from Kendrapada, West Bengal but no sign of same height from his parents.

There’s something special about this man, he’s the only giant without abnormalities in his growth. Angus has the biggest chest ever of a non-obese person measuring 80 inches. He was born in Scotland in 1825 and had 12 siblings. His growth was normal until he reached the adolescent stage and then his rapid growth began. When he turned 22 he was already 7ft 9in (2.36m) with a weight of 425 lb (193 kg). Angus Macaskill also grew in strength, he could lift a ship’s anchor weighing over 2,800 pounds to his chest as well as carry two big 350 pounds barrels under his arms.

Though still a teenager Robert Bobroczky has drawn the attention of people wherever he goes for his magnificent height at such a young age. Born on July 17, 2000, in Arad, Romania, and with a height of 7 ft 7 in (2.31 m) and weight of 220 lb (100 kg). He’s a basketball player and the tallest player in Europe. Medical tests have shown that Robert’s height is not a hormonal disease but genetics. Robert is the tallest teenager ever after beating the record of Brenden Adams.

The simple calm giant that was born on 25 November 1987 is an English professional basketball player. He weighs 325 lb (147 kg) and has a height of 7 ft 8 inches. Paul Sturgess leads as the tallest professional basketball player in the whole world and not only in the basketball section but also the tallest man in Britain after Neil Fingleton died on 25 February 2017. 9. Alam Channa
The tall and gigantic man’s full name is Haji Mohammad Alam Channa. He was born in 1953 in Sehwan, Sindh province, Pakistan but died on 2 July 1998 in New York City. At 18 he was already 6 ft 4 inches and when he had reached his maximum height of 7ft 8inch he got a job at the circus as an entertainer. This made him famous in his locality but in 1998 he kidneys began to fail which led to his death.

Another Pakistani is here with us with a massive height of 7 feet and 10 inches and is known as the tallest living man in Pakistan. He’s a journalist and was born on 28 March 1964 so his age currently is in ’50s.
11. Kenny George
Retired basketball player Kenny George was born on 11 November 1987 but his height is not really specified but ranges between 7 ft 7 in and 7 ft 9 in. He was the tallest basketball player in the United States but his career wasn’t long enough, his weight is 168 kg.

Another professional basketball player made the list with a huge height of 2.29 m (7 ft 6 in). Slavko was born on January 30, 1983, the Montenegrin has a weight of 135 kg (298 lb). He has been a basketball player since 1997.
13. Radhouane Charbib
The big tall giant used to be the world’s tallest living man by Guinness Book of Records until 2005 when Xishun Bao was discovered to be a bit taller than him with about 2 meters. Radhouane was born on October 27, 1968, and has a height of 7feet 7inches.

Known by many as Giant Gonzalez following his ring name in the World Wrestling Federation, The tall huge man was born on January 31, 1966, who started off his career as an Argentine basketball player. He weighed 460 lb (209 kg) and had a height of 2.31 m (7 ft 7 in) making him the tallest wrestler ever. On September 22, 2010, Jorge lost his life after suffering from diabetes and heart diseases.

From Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, China we have Xishun Bao born on 2 November 1951. His weight is 364 lb (165 kg) while his height is 7 ft 8.95 in (2.36 m). From research, it was found that his growth rate was normal until he reached the age of 16 then the rapid growth began. The herdsman got married to saleswoman Xia Shujuan on March 24, 2007.

Standing at a whopping height of 7 ft 8.33 in (234.5 cm) is the Ukrainian-American actor who was born on September 18, 1982. No doubt he’s the tallest living man in the United States. His arrival into the United States was in 1989 when he was only 7 years of age and is already 5 ft 4 inches tall.

We have Feodor who was born in 1878 in the village of Kasciuki which is now in Belarus. Without much information concerning his background, this giant grew to a height of 7 feet 10 inches (283 Centimetres) and a weight of 365 pounds. Feodor Machnow’s height was amazing in those days that he toured different countries exhibiting his great height and on the course of his journey he met fellow giant George Auger.

Gigantic Ri Myung-hun was once known as the tallest living man on earth, with a height of 7’8 ½” (2.35 m) the former North Korean basketball player was also referred to as Michael Ri. He was born on 14 September 1967 and his favorite basketball player is Michael Jordan.

Japanese giant Yasutaka Okayama was born on November 29, 1954 in Kumamoto Prefecture. The former professional basketball player was trained in Judo while still in high school before he later embarked in basketball when he turned eighteen at Osaka University of Commerce.
22. Yoshimitsu Matsuzaka
Tall and a bit shy giant might be the tallest man in the history of Japan. Yoshimitsu was born on 5 February 1935 to a farmer. He continued growing until he was admitted to Tokyo’s University Hospital when his strength could no longer carry his body. Matsuzaka grew to a height of 7 ft. 9 ins and died on 26 October 1962. His height is 7 ft 8 in (2.34 m) while his weight is 305 lb (138 kg).

Currently, he’s the second living tallest man in the world with a height of 2.46 m (8 ft 1 in) according to Guinness World Record and also once held the record for a man with the largest feet. He has a degree in Geography and traveled to France where he had his tumor removed and the growth hormone level was brought down in his blood.
24. Vikas Kumar Uppal
From India is another big, huge and massive giant who dwarfs people wherever he goes. Vikas was born on 1 January 1986 and was known to grow to a tremendous height of 8 ft 3 in (2.51 m). His growth continued until he died on 30th of June 2007 after an unsuccessful operation to stop his growth. He’s the tallest Indian Man in recorded history.
25. Leonid Stadnyk
We have the Ukrainian with an enormous, marvelous height who stood like a tower in the midst of people. Leonid Stepanovych Stadnyk was born on 5 August 1969 but unlike others that started their excessive growth from childhood, his commenced after brain surgery at the age of 13. This led to pituitary gland tumor and saw him develop to a massive height of 8 feet 5 inches or 2.57 meters but this was not confirmed officially as he refused to be measured. He died on 24 August 2014.
26. Bernard Coyne
With a stature like that of Bernard Coyne, he won’t pass without getting unnoticed. He was born on July 27, 1897, and due to his height, he wasn’t allowed in the Army in 1918. His large shoes which were size 24 and his long clothes made him unique. He was the tallest living man then with a height of 8 ft 2 in (249 cm).

From Indonesia is this big and gigantic man who started making waves from his country. In his country, he’s the tallest man in Indonesia with an assumed record of nearly 9 feet tall. Later he was measured by Indonesian Museum of Records and his exact height was 7ft 11in.
28. Gabriel Estêvão Monjane
The tallest man in Mozambique history is Gabriel Estêvão who was born in 1944. He stood at a great height of 2.46 m (8 ft 1 in) and was once the tallest living man in 1988 version of Guinness World Records. His weight was 348 pounds and he died in January 1990.
29. Suleiman Ali Nashnush
Just like fellow African Gabriel Monjane, Suleiman Ali took over as the world’s tallest living man both in Africa and worldwide after the death of Monjane though his reign was short. He was a Libyan actor and basketball player that was born in 1943. His height was 8 ft 0 in (2.44 m) and he died on February 25, 1991.
30. Don Koehler
After suffering from a medical condition known as acromegalic gigantism, Don Koehler who was born on September 1, 1925, alongside his twin sister in the United States and his peak in height was 249 cm (8’2″). From 1969 till 1981 he lost his life, Don was known as the world’s tallest living man.

32. Väinö Myllyrinne
Born on 27 February 1909 in Helsinki, Grand Duchy of Finland and once reigned as the world’s tallest man between 1940–1963. He’s considered to be the fourth tallest man in the world. Väinö had a weight of 377 lb and grew to 251.4 cm (8 ft 3 in) tall. He died on 13 April 1963.
33. Sultan Kösen
Known as the current living man in the whole world as stated by Guinness World Record. The Turkish man was born on 10 December 1982 and his growth is natural but as a result of a tumor affecting his pituitary gland. This was cured at the University of Virginia Medical School and the growth has ceased. Sultan’s height is 2.51 m (8 ft 2.82 in) while his weight is 137 kg (302 lb).
34. John F. Carroll
John is among those people that passed the height of 8 feet and above. He was born in 1932 in Buffalo, New York and weighed 308 lb (140 kg). John went through some severe medical issues which include 2-dimensional spinal curvature and acromegalic gigantism. The issues led to his death eventually in 1969. His height wasn’t really verified but was considered to be 8 ft 7.75 in (2.6353 m) and he’s known as the third tallest man in the world.
35. John Rogan
The second tallest man in the world and the tallest man of African descent was born on February 16, 1868. Known for a massive height of 8 ft 9 in (2.67 m) but a low weight of 205 lb (93 kg) considering his huge frame, his excessive growth began when he turned 13 years of age. His huge height affected him so much that he couldn’t walk, he died on September 12, 1905.
36. Robert Wadlow
Known by many as the Alton Giant, Robert Pershing Wadlow is the tallest man in history according to Guinness World Records. He was born on February 22, 1918, as the oldest of five children and his excessive growth started immediately from his early years. He suffered from excessive growth due to hyperplasia of his pituitary gland. Robert continued growing till his death on July 15, 1940. His massive height was 8 ft 11.1 in (272 cm) and his weight was 439 lb (199 kg).
